Russian Pension Fund Board Chairman Anton Drozdov took part in the Moscow Financial Forum held in Manezh on September 12-13 and discussed higher accessibility and quality of public services achieved through digitalization of the social sector with his colleagues from ministries and departments.
The sides discussed the issue through the lens of the electronic certificate, which would be used in the near future to supply disabled persons with technical rehabilitation means.
In the words of Anton Drozdov, digitalization of the social sector has provided the government and citizens with vast amounts of information, which is being structured with the assistance of the Unified Social Security Information System (USSIS). More than 35,000 information providers daily enlarge the database with social protection data.
The USSIS classifier contains information about technical rehabilitation means for disabled persons and will soon be expanded with the electronic certificate. According to Drozdov, the information from the USSIS will be immediately available to the public via accounts on the PFR website, bodies assigning social benefits, and the Federal Treasury, which acts as the electronic certificate operator.
“In fact, we record citizens’ right to this kind of social protection and share the information with the Federal Treasury. We hope that, for its part, the Federal Treasury will inform us about the provided service after the payment is accomplished,” Drozdov said.
The discussion held at the Moscow Financial Forum involved Deputy Labor and Social Protection Minister Grigory Lekarev, Deputy Finance Minister Anton Kotyakov, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Gulnaz Kadyrova, Social Insurance Fund Chairman Andrei Kigim, Federal Treasury head Roman Artyukhin, all-Russian Society of Disabled People Chairman Mikhail Terentyev, and member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy, and Veteran Affairs Olga Batalina.
The Moscow Financial Forum serves as a platform for the professional discussion of aspects of the Russian financial and economic policy and the elaboration of decisions, which boost the competitive edge of the Russian economy. It is organized by the Russian Finance Ministry and the Moscow government.
