An international seminar on the quality of social service and the use of digital technologies by state-run social institutions took place in Moscow on February 12 and 13. The event, which was held under the aegis of the International Social Security Association (ISSA), was attended by specialists of Russian and foreign ministries and agencies, representatives of Eurasian countries, and international experts from Australia, Germany, Denmark, Indonesia, China, and some other countries.
The Russian Pension Fund organized the event with the support of the Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. PFR Board Chairman Anton Drozdov made opening remarks at the seminar; he noted the importance of new digital technologies in the social security system and told the audience about Russia’s achievements in that area. “Last year, our country ranked one of the top ten digital economy countries in the Digital Society Index. The United Nations listed Russia as a country with highly developed e-government, as well. We know that other countries have also achieved a lot and expect to exchange opinions today,” Drozdov said.
In addition, Russian Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin and ISSA Secretary General Marcelo Caetano spoke at the opening ceremony.
Participants in the two-day event conferred on modern trends in using digital technologies for improving the quality of service, developing the e-government and the “one-stop-shop” in social security services, and boosting healthcare and social insurance.
