The Pension Fund of Russia delivered special benefit to the World War II veterans on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. More than one million veterans received this special benefit. According to the Presidential decree such benefits amount to RUB 75 thousand or RUB 50 thousand.
In accordance with the instructions of the President the payouts were completed by the end of April. 50% of the benefits were delivered by the 10th of April, by the middle of April almost all veterans received this special benefit. There was no need to submit any applications since the benefit was assigned on the basis of the available data of the Pension Fund.
Together with this special benefit the veterans received the annual benefit amounting to RUB 10,000. According to the Presidential decree, war veterans and war invalids of the Great Patriotic War, who took part in the military events of 1941–1945, are assigned to this annual benefit.
One should note that there are rare cases when the benefits will be paid in May. However they are attributed to the personal circumstances, for instance, absence of the recipient when the postal worker came.
